This is strange. Korea was barely a country before the commies invaded and had previously been under Japanese domination for decades.

There’s a lot of reasons. I think a common issue is people tend to look at a few superficial elements that are traditionally good, and take that as a reflection of how the country is doing as a whole. For example strict immigration is a trait I would say is good. But what does a homogeneous society matter if 5% of their female population openly admit to prostitution. Imagine what that number really is for those too ashamed to admit it, or rationalized it away? Single female led households are more strongly subsidized in Japan, far beyond the shit we do here, which is utterly destroying the nuclear family there now. Sexless marriages are at 50%.
I would say Japan is a decade or so behind America’s subversion and degeneracy in a lot of ways, LGBT acceptance, etc but they are spiraling out of control at faster rates than America is, catching up, and surpassing in other avenues. Their lower birth rates aren’t helping, and their society highly values a culture where one should not make waves, so many young people are simply withdrawing from society entirely. Which, unlike in America, even the idiots here are out protesting and burning down things to get their voice heard to oppose whatever, and this at least causes polarization, which encourages the opposition, and this is going to come to a head at some point, but in Japan people just largely let things happen, and as we know communist ideology marches forward non stop until actively pushed upon.
