I visited recently with some friends as a tourist. Portugal is a third world country by all definitions. Locked down for corona with some of the strictest rules around for businesses but no oversight for their immigrant "visitors". Hammers and sickles on political banners in Lisbon. I met a Portuguese conservative and he described the place as a failed state.

Ah, I see then. Thanks for the clarification. Had no idea what it was like there now, but that's a shame to hear, especially since I've always wanted to visit there.

It would be an ok visit if not for the lockdowns. Its a party country and there are loads of girls from all over Europe. But with everything shut down, all it has is people in drugs and some outdoor drinking spots (this was pretty cool IMO).

yup some of my neighbors have cobble stoned hammer and sickles on their drive way, i always egg them on Halloween lmao
