Ecclesiastes

dunedan 4 points ago +4 / -0
Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not...
While the sun, or the light, or the moon, or the stars, be not darkened:
In the day when the keepers of the house shall tremble,
and the strong men shall bow themselves...
Also when they shall be afraid of that which is high,
and fears shall be in the way... and desire shall fail:
because man goeth to his long home,
and the mourners go about the streets:
Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was,
and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.

Vanity of vanities, saith the preacher: All is vanity.

Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter:
Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
For God shall bring every work into judgment...
whether it be good, or whether it be evil.

Ecclesiastes 12

The words of a wizened, tired old king. Solomon, presumably. His words of wisdom that he has to give to the bright-eyed youth. His message: Remember God in the good days, because they will not last forever. Death is approaching, and more importantly, the day of judgement. It is vain to live in fear of death, because it will inevitably come. It is better to fear God. If you do not fear God, your deeds will be judged evil, and your death will be eternal. However, if you fear God, and keep his commandments, your works may be judged good, and life eternal will be your reward.

As a poetic book, it is doctrinally lightweight, like the Psalms or Job. But it is an important message, beautifully written.

Proverbs and Songs of Solomon. Very practical teachings that can be used in daily life and in marriage.

I'm retarded, low attention span, or scared because I can't sit down and read thru it. I feel bad about it but I'm watching a lot of Catholic videos/podcasts, reading articles.

Genesis is Jew scripture from the Jewish Torah.

I prefer to focus on the life and teachings of Jesus Christ rather than the human laws of the Jews that are NOT the one True Path to Salvation.

Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior, not Moses.

Praise the Lord.

“How can you say, ‘We are wise, and the law of the LORD is with us’? But behold, the lying pen of the scribes has made it into a lie.

Jeremiah 8:8

OT has some really questionable shit

like Judges 11.

Literal child sacrifice.

Not to mention the OT laws commanding husbands to REMORSELESSLY slaughter their wife and children for the crime of not being Jewish enough (Deuteronomy 13:6-10) ... or ... for Jews to genocide entire communities for the crime of not being Jews (Deuteronomy 13:13-17) ... or their fucked-up Pagan bird blood magic spells (Leviticus 13) ... or how whatever fucked-up demon the Jew's worship wants them to cuts parts off of God's perfect newborn babies.

Jesus was sent because my Heavenly Father considered Judaism to be intolerably disgusting and needed to undo it's lies and show us the One True Path to Salvation.

The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit knew how disgusting the Jews were, but they needed to give them every chance to repent.
