Scott has been a long time fence sitter who likes to make fun of the idiosyncrasies of the modern world, without falling out of grace with any side. Seems he picked a stance on this matter. Probably too much for anyone with a brain

Did he predict Trump would win in 2016 and get all proud about it? Idk I don't read Dilbert, but anyone who makes their political affiliations ambiguous is some form of right wing

Yeah, his Trump prediction was a big thing. Largely because of how early he was. He predicted a Trump presidency after the second Republican debate or something, way before primary voting had even started.

Adams was a actually instrumental in me coming around to Trump. I thought Trump was nuts at first, but he kept doing really well. The whole thing completely contradicted my understanding of US politics. Then Adams exposed to me how every weird thing Trump did wasn't crazy, it was a tactic based on proven persuasion techniques, and kept working for exactly that reason. When I finally understood the how, I was free to consider the what, and realized that what Trump wanted was all stuff that I wanted.

Adams hasn't had the same kind of victory since, but he still always gives an interesting perspective on whatever he's talking about. His explicit goal now is to be the "most credible" person. Which doesn't mean always being right, but it does mean listening the best and seeing through bullshit the best. He'll often take positions that his Trump-loving fans don't like. Refusing to play to the audience in that way is part of his credibility.

As all fence sitters, they are more right than left. Else they would just be left as there is no downside in the mainstream currently.

They simply don't like losing half the public

Space Aliens: "We come from a distant star to destroy your civilization."

Person: "Before we get into all of that, what are your pronouns?"

Space Aliens: "Someone beat us to it."
