This Weeks Discussion Theme: Consume Diet

White boy summer is just around the corner! It’s very easy to put on some pounds while taking a vacation or just going out more. Even though many of us will pig out during the summer it’s important to not forget health is wealth and it starts with your diet. This weekly is on dieting for good health, or weight loss and weight management.

Discussion ideas:

  • Why is eating balanced and healthy so hard for many people?
  • What is important in a healthy diet? E.g., portion control, calorie counting, protein to carb ratio etc...
  • Share healthy dieting advice.

For me, the best diet ive found is basically carnivore diet + easily digestable carbs. So any animal product you can think of is fine, and for carbs youd be limited to juice, potatoes, and white rice.

Eat organic, grass-fed if possible.

Completely avoid nuts, seeds, polyunsaturated fats (PUFAs) / vegetable oils, flouridated tap water.

Basically some mix between Ray Peat Diet and Weston A Price Diet

I'm going to have to disagree with juice, just because the fiber in fruits cancels out the high sugar content, and when you blend/grind fruits all you're left with is the sugar.

Carbs should just be vegetables.

No fruit?

Good question. Fruit is high in sugar (obviously), and so not ideal. With that being said, I enjoy it regularly in a small portion after dinner. I don’t think one should eat it during the day. My preference is berries, which are the highest in polyphenols of any fruit.
