I'm going to have start using this IRL. Instead of getting ready to kill anyone who tells me to put on a mask at the company softball game tomorrow, just, "No." I think I can do it.

A few weeks ago I was at walgreens and for the first time ever I was told I needed to wear a mask by a stranger. I always told myself that I would just ignore the person if this happened, but I was cranky that day.

I turned to them and said "shut the fuck up"

I didn't feel good about it, but in a way it was right thing to do.

I get you. I don't have an authoritarian bone in my body. I just want to live and relax. I've realized I have this fear of people nagging me. Not trying to help me, but bring me down. The urge to mercilessly strike the naggers down is powerful.

Sometimes you have to auto pilot reactions to things (minus physical aggression in 99.99% of interactions)

Me being cranky isn't an excuse for me saying that, I really wanted to say it. It was my first reaction, so obviously.

Just be you King.

What did they do?

She got wide-eyed and started to walk towards an employee. I was just using the ATM so I was gone in a matter of seconds anyways

I find if you put on war face expression even the mask greeters won't make an attempt to say anything.

Use their fear against them. A lot of people will not pick a fight with a masculine man who makes them feel intimidated.

Yep. Over the years I have developed what I have called my "No, I dont have a fucking dollar, so dont fucking ask" look. Working in the ghetto, for 20 years will do that.

Thats my mask when I go anywhere. I'm not "muscular" per se, just a little toned with no dad bod, and over the years, Ive developed th "cop walk". People almost never say anything, and the rare ones that do, do so with a slight look of trepidation in their eyes.

these guys are subhuman, great idea to not even argue with them, just let them know they're retarded lol

While I love the basedness perhaps part of it is because it is an ambiguous statement.

Could be "I disagree that trans rights exist" ... or ... "I disagree with your assertion that you support trans rights"

Yeah. So many levels.

I got a good chuckle out of that. Well played.
